Planinski dom Orlove stine - Umac (at Svilaja)

Access to starting point:
a) Leave the A1 motorway at the Split exit and continue driving on the expressway towards Split. Leave it at the first exit and continue in the direction of Drniš and Knin. In Gornji Muć turn right and in the village of Sutina turn left towards Zelovo. Drive to the junction for Svilaja (the junction from this side is not signposted!), where we turn left. Follow the asphalt road for another approximately 2.5 kilometres, where we turn right onto the gravel road and after three kilometres we arrive at the junction before the hut, where we turn right and park in the small parking lot in front of the hut.
b) Drive to Knin and from there follow towards Kijevo and Vrlika. Drive through Vrlika and along Perućko Lake to the town of Hrvace, where we pay attention to the junction on the right for Zelovo. Turn and when we arrive in Zelovo, pay attention to the junction on the right for Svilaja. Follow the asphalt road for another approximately 2.5 kilometres, where we turn right onto the gravel road and after three kilometres we arrive at the junction before the hut, where we turn right and park in the small parking lot in front of the hut.

Route description:
From the hut continue along the path or back to the junction and proceed towards Svilaja. After a short ascent the road levels out and to the left one of the paths to Svilaja and to Jarebinjak branches off. Continue ahead along the road that crosses the slopes of Jarebinjek and Crni Umac. After approximately half an hour of walking from the hut we arrive at a small apiary and the junction for Umac. Continue right and in 5 minutes of ascent through the forest we are on the panoramic summit of Umac.
