Access to starting point:
First, we drive to Tolmin, from there we follow the road in the direction of Zatolmin. In Zatolmin we notice signposts, which direct us onto an ascending road towards Javorca. The occasionally narrow road, after a few km of driving, brings us to a smaller crossroad, where the road towards Javrorca branches off to the left upwards; here we continue straight and follow the road to the mountain pasture Polog near which we park on a parking lot by the road.
Route description:
From the parking lot, we continue on the road which after a few minutes of walking brings us to the shepherd hut in which it is possible in the summer time to buy sour milk. We continue slightly left on the road which after approximately 15 minutes of additional walking changes into a cart track and brings us to a crossing. We continue right in the direction of the mountain pasture Prodi (straight to the source of the Tolminka) on the path which starts descending. After less than 5 minutes of descent, the path brings us to the cableway over the river Tolminka.
