Pension Camping Holzmeister - Sommeralm (on Siebenkogel ridge)

Access to starting point:
From the border crossing Šentilj, we continue driving on the highway towards Graz and further towards Linz and Salzburg. We soon leave Highway A9 and continue driving slightly to the right in the direction of Vienna/Wien on the highway S35. We exit the highway at the Frohnleiten exit, then follow the signs for Weiz and Rechberg. After the settlement Tulwitz, we turn left towards Teichalm. The road ascends through a few more settlements, then flattens as we reach the Teichalm plateau. We drive to the inn Almgashof Angerwirt, where we turn right towards the settlement Sommeralm. At the inn Holzmeister, the described path begins. The parking lot by the inn is intended for guests.
We leave Highway A2 Graz-Vienna/Wien at the Gleisdorf West exit, then follow the signs for Hartberg and Weiz, and later only for Weiz. Through Weiz, we follow the signs for Passail. For the gorge Weizklamm, we turn right from the main road towards Sommeralm and surrounding settlements (straight for Passail). The road gradually starts ascending more noticeably, and we follow the signs for Sommeralm. After the settlement Sommeralm, we begin descending and drive to the inn Holzmeister, where the described path begins. The parking lot by the inn is intended for guests.

Route description:
By the main road we notice signs for Osser and Sommeralm - the path along the Siebenkogel ridge, which directs us to the inn, which we bypass on the right side. From the inn follows a short descent to the stream Mixnitzbach, which we cross and then continue alongside the stream for some time.
Here, from the right, the path from the cottage Harrerhütte joins quite unobtrusively, while we gradually leave the stream and moderately ascend a grassy slope to the crossroads by the cross Schwoabauerkreuz.
We continue left in the direction of Sommeralm (straight to the source of Raba / Raabursprung in Passail, sharply right to Osser) and start ascending more steeply on a grazing slope. Higher up, the path flattens, and an increasingly panoramic path leads us along the ridge Siebenkogel, where it takes us over or slightly below several peaks. For some time, we continue with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains, then the path enters the forest, where we bypass the highest peak in the previously mentioned ridge on the left side. The path ahead leads us past another cross and a self-service bar, then we pass through a strip of forest, after which we walk across a pasture to a crossroads near the hill on which three crosses stand.
Behind the hill, we go left in the direction of Sommeralm (right to Passail) and continue along a cart track that returns to the forest. When we leave the forest, we are already at the chapel on Sommeralm, and we can continue a little further to the center of the settlement.
