Access to starting point:
From the eastern Ljubljana bypass, we head to the exit Ljubljana - Bizovik, and then continue driving towards Sostro and further on the ascending road towards Besnica. On the saddle, where the road branches off to the right towards the village of Javor, we park on a smaller parking lot by the road.
Route description:
From the starting point, we first carefully cross the road, then head onto a wide cart track in the direction of Debenji vrh. The cart track first gently ascends along the edge of a grassy slope, then enters the forest, where it continues moderately ascending. After a few minutes, the blazes direct us slightly left onto a marked footpath, which soon returns to the aforementioned cart track. Higher up, the path levels out completely, then in a gentle descent crosses the area below the power line, from where a very nice view opens up. The cart track then returns to the forest, and we follow it on a moderate ascent all the way to Debenji vrh, in the middle of which stands a wooden lookout tower.
