Ožbalt (jez na potoku Črmenica) - Turška peč

Access to starting point:
From the road Maribor - Dravograd we drive almost to the settlement Ožbalt (from the direction of Dravograd slightly after the settlement). A few hundred meters before (from the direction of Dravograd after the settlement) the mentioned settlement, a road branches off to the right (from the direction of Dravograd to the left) towards Gradišče and Kapla. We turn onto the mentioned road and drive to the first sharper right turn, where we park in a suitable spot near the turn.

Route description:
From the starting point above the dam we cross the asphalt road and follow a well-trodden but unmarked path that begins steeply ascending through the forest. For a few minutes we ascend steeply, but upon reaching the forested ridge, the path flattens slightly, though it remains quite steep. Further on, we reach a cart track, which we follow for a short time; when the cart track ends, we take a footpath from the right side of the ridge to the left side. The path ahead gradually becomes increasingly steep again, and after the second crossing of the cart track, the slope we walk on also becomes increasingly steep. Next follows a few minutes of very steep ascent, where caution is needed due to the steepness to avoid slipping; upon returning to the ridge, we quickly reach Turška peč, from which a beautiful view opens towards the river Drava.
