Odomovo jezero - Sveta Katarina (Zgornja Kapla)

Access to starting point:
a) From the road Dravograd - Maribor, after the settlement Brezno and the turnoff for the road to Podvelka, we turn left into the valley of stream Potočnikov potok. We follow the road further in the direction of Zgornja Kapla and lake Odomovo jezero. When we reach the lake, we park in the marked parking lot by the lake. From the main road to the starting point, it is approximately 9.3 km.
b) From the road Maribor - Dravograd, shortly before the settlement Ožbalt, we turn right in the direction of lake Odomovo jezero and Gradišče (the crossroad is located shortly after HE Ožbalt). At the next crossroads, we follow the signs for lake Odomovo jezero, and when we reach the lake, we park in the parking lot by the lake. From the main road to the starting point, it is approximately 14.5 km.
c) We drive to Ožbalt, from where we take the road that leads us past the kindergarten into the valley of the stream Ožbaltski potok. Further, we ascend towards Zgornja Kapla, and from the church of St. Katarina, we follow the signs for lake Odomovo jezero. When we arrive at the lake, we park in the parking lot by the lake. From the main road to the starting point, it is approximately 9.8 km.

Route description:
From the lake, we continue on the road which ascends and leads us towards Zgornja Kapla and Gradišče, and after a few minutes we reach a crossroad at a saddle, where we go right in the direction of Zgornja Kapla (sharply left Austria, straight Gradišče and Ožbalt). Also further, we ascend on the asphalt road which leads us past a few houses, and higher up, beautiful views begin to open up, reaching all the way to the Alps. A little further, blazes direct us from the road slightly left onto a path which ascends parallel to the road, and we reach another road after a short ascent, where we go right past the sports field. Only a little further, we go left onto an asphalt path, along which we quickly walk to the church of St. Katarina.
