Novo Selo Okićko - Dom pod Okićem

Access to starting point:
We leave the highway Zagreb-Karlovac at exit Zdenčina. We drive in the direction of the town Klinča Sela (north). At the traffic light crossroads we go straight. Only when we get to Klinča Sela will we at one crossroad go left (An arrow is unusually placed below on the fence). Now we go straight ahead and we arrive in the village Novo Selo Okićko. When we come to a bus turning point we park the car in an appropriate place.

Route description:
From the bus turning point in Novo Selo Okićko we go to the north downwards on a wider road. The path descends to an abandoned chapel where there is a crossing. From the chapel we continue right on at first a still wide cart track which we quickly leave because the path leads left on a narrower footpath. We at first walk on a gentle footpath, and then it descends to the nearby stream. We cross the stream and then we start ascending through the forest. After a few minutes' steep ascent we will come to the edge of the forest, where there stands a hunting observatory.
The path immediately returns into the forest and again starts descending, and then it brings us out of the forest on a meadow. Here from the right joins the path from the village Sveti Martin pod Okićem. The path ahead starts ascending steeper by the edge of the forest, and when we return into the forest, it flattens. Next follows approximately 5 minutes of walking to the foot of the peak Okić. Further, we cross the stream Okićnica and we get to the mountain hut Dom pod Okićem (near the mountain hut three paths branch off to the right towards the wall of the peak Okić).
