Nevlje pri Kamniku - Vovar

Access to starting point:
First, we drive to Kamnik, and then we continue driving towards Tuhinjska dolina. From the end of Kamnik we drive on the main road for approximately 1 km, and then we turn left into the village Nevlje, where there is a smaller parking lot near the school.

Route description:
From the parking lot, we go left past the school and then the first junction right, left over the Mammoth Bridge (at this spot they discovered the skeleton) and then again right at the crossroads. We follow the road through the village Oševek, which at the end turns left across a clearing. We continue on the road uphill and after approximately 15 minutes at another crossroads left towards the village Tučna. After 300 m by a large farm building we notice a poor unpaved road, cart track, which descends right down to the meadow.
We follow the cart track back uphill and cross first a nice macadam path, then also a few cart tracks. When we come to a stack of logs after approximately 15 minutes of walking from the building, we turn right onto the transverse cart track and follow it to the bend, approximately 3 minutes. Here the road ends, (left and right poor cart tracks) but we continue straight on a beaten path into a bright forest.
We follow the path uphill along the slope, we cross two cart tracks and at the crossroads of unmarked paths we take the right one. After a minute we spot a nice macadam road. We turn right onto the road and walk along it to the saddle below the foot of Vovar. At the widening on the right we notice a roughly cut cart track for timber extraction, in the left corner we even find a modest sign Vovar. We follow the cart track and on our left after a while we again spot some kind of saddle. The path from Gozd joins us. Just a few meters further we turn left onto a beaten path and on the steep slope in a few minutes we climb to the summit.
