Access to starting point:
We drive to Murska Sobota, then continue driving towards the town of Hodoš. When we arrive in Šalovci, we take the exit from the roundabout towards the settlement of Čepinci, but we continue driving through Markovci and Čepinci to the border crossing with Hungary, where we park in the parking lot on the Slovenian or Hungarian side of the border.
Route description:
From the border crossing we continue along the main road which leads along the Hungarian side of the border. Soon a marked path joins us from the right, which we follow along the main road to the marked junction, where the signs for the viewpoint tower on Verica or Katin breg direct us left. Only a short easy ascent along the gravel road follows and we arrive at Katin breg, where the viewpoint tower is located.
