Mikro Papingo - Gamila

Access to starting point:
From the town of Ioannina, an asphalt road leads through the villages of Kalpaki, Aristi, Papingo to Mikro Papingo. In this village there are some parking spaces, you can also park on the road in front of the village.

Route description:
From the village of Mikro Papingo, follow a well-marked path up the grassy slope to the Astraka hut, which stands on a saddle. Along the path there are some springs with arranged rest areas. From the hut, our path descends to a grassy plain. From here it ascends again up the grassy slope. Here the path is less visible. The path then turns slightly to the left and ascends gradually. From here, the grassy summit is already visible ahead. Towards the summit, we cross a small scree and then steeply ascend the grassy surface to the top.
