Access to starting point:
From Ljubljana, we drive towards Medvode or vice versa. In the village of Medno we turn left (from the Ljubljana side, from Medvode right) and we drive another good 100 m to the hotel in Medno. We park on the parking lot near the mountain signposts; in front of the hotel parking is allowed only for guests.
Route description:
From the parking lot near the hotel we continue on the road in the direction of the mountain hut Slavkov dom and Katarina. The marked path already after a few minutes leaves the road and goes left into the forest, where it continues on a cart track which occasionally ascends a little and then descends again. The path through the forest has quite a few junctions so we carefully follow the blazes, so as not to stray from the right path. The path then descends and brings us to a meadow behind which we come to houses, where we join the road. We follow this road only for a short time, then the blazes and signs for Slavkov dom direct us right onto a side road which starts to ascend. We follow the well-marked road, which first ascends but descends in the last 10 minutes, all the way to the mountain hut Slavkov dom na Golem brdu.

I agree that the path is very poorly marked. This just means they don't want us to walk this path. Regards,

I'm wondering since when is Slavkov dom again a mountain hut? Isn't it Gostilna Belšak anymore? Is it only treated as a mountain hut because it was included in the Očistimo gore campaign?

Do all of you commenting that the path is poorly marked have paid PZS membership? Path maintenance is partly financed from the share of membership fees, carried out with the help of dedicated volunteers. The vast majority of hikers, for whom it is self-evident that "paths must be marked", do not even pay membership fees, let alone join any PD or PZS action.

The path is described as "marked". It's not good if the description is false.

Of course it's a marked path. I'm a local and know all the paths well. For those unfamiliar, the only tricky part is to "catch" the junction to the right, for the descent towards the main road, from where we then turn right into the asphalt climb (in the picture in the description). This junction to the right is located after about 20 minutes of walking, when we reach the "little ridge" between Medanski hrib and Šentvid. When we reach the top of the first ascent we continue right (left to the top of Medanski hrib), where after about 100-200 m we notice a cart track to the right (very poor, covered with large stones). This junction is the right one for the path described above. I think there's even a sign on a larger tree for Bormes ahead, but we have to go right downhill to those houses. If we miss the junction, a short ascent awaits us, and a bit up and down to the path that comes up from Stanežiče and descends to Bormes. From there to Slavkov dom it's about 15 min of moderate walking. To me, this path is even nicer than the one described in the description, but it's about a kilometer longer. It can also be used as a circular path. Once we're at the top of the little ridge, orientation is easy. To the left we have Šmarna gora, Sava, Rašica, and all those settlements (Medno, Stanežiče, Dvor, Gunclje, Šentvid), the road from Medno to Bormes and further about 1 km into the forest on macadam, towards the power lines in Šentviški hrib. I'm very glad you're exploring and hiking in our area, so feel free to ask any questions. On occasion I can attach a photo so there are really no more problems. Best regards and happy trails
