Ljubljana (Izletniška ulica) - Straža (past Tabor)

Access to starting point:
From the Trzin bypass we go in the direction of Črnuče and follow the road ahead towards Ježica and Gameljne. Only a little before the bridge over the river Sava, the described path begins. Along the described path, there are no appropriate places for parking. Therefore, we park at the P+R Ježica parking lot or somewhere in Črnuče.
To the starting point, it is also possible to arrive via Dunajska cesta or from the Gorenjska motorway.

Route description:
From the starting point, we go along Izletniška ulica all the way to the gate. We continue past it and immediately turn left onto a cart track. At the next crossroad, we continue right and cross the slope of Tabor. At the next crossroad, two cart tracks split and rejoin after 5 minutes. We continue left along the cart track to the next crossroad, where we proceed slightly right. The cart track gently ascends, crosses a power line, and we arrive at a crossroad where a path from Gameljska cesta joins from the left. We continue straight along the footpath and in 5 minutes reach the forested summit of Straža.
