Access to starting point:
From Ljubljana or Kranj we drive to Škofja Loka, and from there we continue towards Gorenja vas. In Gorenja vas we continue right in the direction of Cerkno and Žiri. The road then runs past the village Trebija after which we turn left in the direction of Žiri (right Cerkno). From Žiri we drive further in the direction of Idrija, but only to the spot where the road starts descending. Here at the crossroad we continue right in the direction of the village Ledine. We park on one of the parking lots by the road before or after the village.
From Idrija we drive towards Tolmin or vice versa. Between Idrija and Spodnja Idrija, to the right (direction Idrija - Tolmin) the road branches off towards Žiri and Škofja Loka. On the top of the ascent, we come to a crossroad, where the road branches off to the left towards the village Ledine. Further, follow the above description.
Route description:
At the end of the village Ledine, we continue on the right road in the direction of Mrzli vrh and Sivka. The road then runs past a monument of the fallen soldiers. After a few minutes' walk on grassy slopes, the road goes into the forest, where we continue for quite some time. When we come out of the forest, in front of us we notice a chapel, after which we turn sharply left in the direction of Sivka. We continue on a worse road which is gently ascending through a meadow. This road we follow a short time, because before the road goes into the forest, a marked path branches off to the right, which after additional 5 minutes of moderate ascent through the forest brings us to the summit.

Discussion about the trip Ledine - Sivka
joža x14. 04. 2010
Is the Breznica variant near Žireh-Sivka marked?
joža x12. 05. 2010
The variant I'm asking about above is marked and leads via Mrzli vrh past the most famous farm in Slovenia to the top of Sivka. Checked with a fellow sufferer on 09.05.2010.

In the box there's only the logbook, the stamp has grown legs.jezen
andymann31. 08. 2010
The Sivka stamp is also available at the Mrzli vrh homestead No. 9.
K&R7. 02. 2011
Is there a stamp at the top?
funnyboy7. 02. 2011
Yes.
modrook127. 02. 2011
no stamp at the top. stamp at the Mrzli vrh 9 homestead. checked! we were up yesterday. best & safe
Loni30. 10. 2011
Well, the stamp is attached to a wire inside the box, checked yesterday. The logbook needs replacement, it's literally falling apart.
Kokta13. 12. 2011
Checked today...new, fresh book and stamp at the top nasmeh
Janiel742. 03. 2012
Went for the stamp today on an afternoon hikenasmeh But really, I don't know what such a "hill" is doing in SPP???eek
anka 2. 03. 2012
Because it's beautiful, with it you experience a part of Slovenia that is our homeland.mežikanje

And because good blueberries grow up there, and countless wasp nests can be found. And because you don't always have to climb over 2000. Plenty more reasons.

Yesterday visited Sivka via this path. After work and 1h drive from LJ I expected peace, nature, relaxation... but I just chose the wrong day. Namely, rally drivers had some training from Ledine to the chapel at the junction below Sivka. I still completed the hike but the sound of rally cars every 3 minutes just spoiled the impression. Well, Sivka is not to blame for that nasmeh. Nice places, friendly locals, shame only that the path is not routed through the forest, it's nicer to walk than on asphalt. Anyway, it's nice in these areas, I'll surely wander there again.

Try next time the Idrija-Cerkno path, it is more peaceful.

Miri, thanks. I'll study this path a bit so that on the next visit I really take that route. Super, thanks.

Is the stamp at the top or at the above-mentioned homestead?

Thanks for the answer,

Balončkinasmeh
valerija11217. 07. 2014
The stamp is at the top of Sivka. At the chapel find the signpost and to the top, it's well marked. Best regards.
balon20. 07. 2014
Yesterday we were at Sivka, nice path, I would just point out the fact that there could be some more markings. Nice excursion.

Today at the summit and the stamp is not in the box, only the upper part, lower one is peeled off, otherwise super walk
marinka6714. 04. 2016
So where can we find the stamp, for May 1st holidays we'll be in those parts? Where is this farm Mrzli vrh 9. Thanks.
link_14. 04. 2016
When I was there it was in the box on the summit (triangular stamp with Sivka on it), they also have it at the farm. Behind the farm nothing special, follow the "stamp" signs

Or even better, look e.g.
here
marinka6723. 04. 2016
Thanks, I know that if I just ask nicely, I'm saved...big smile
marinka6720. 07. 2016
There was a stamp at the top, super!!!
We were up there today.
facko4. 01. 2020
The stamp is at the top in a metal box - in two parts: handle separately and "printer" part separately. Whoever goes up first, take rubber glue with you and fix it nasmeh.
