Access to starting point:
A) From the highway Ljubljana - Jesenice, take the exit Kranj - east, then continue driving towards Jezersko. When we arrive in Preddvor, leave the main road and continue driving left towards the centre of the mentioned settlement; from there, follow the signs for the Bašelj settlement. When we arrive in Bašelj, at the beginning of the left bend a narrower road continues straight ahead to the parking lot at the log cabin TD Bašelj (starting point Bašelj in descriptions), we however continue from the mentioned junction along the main road for another good 100 m to the next junction, where we continue right along the road towards Gamsov raj and the hamlet Laško. Just about 50 m further, continue along the left road, which gradually begins to ascend moderately. At the hamlet Laško, turn left again, then the asphalt ends and continue driving along the steep macadam road, following it to the parking lot at the smaller junction. Red hiking signposts are located at the junction.
B) From the highway Jesenice - Ljubljana, take the exit Kranj - west and at the first junction continue left. Then drive through the underpass under the highway and arrive at a roundabout, from which continue driving towards Golnik. The road ahead leads through the settlement Mlaka pri Kranju; at the end of the settlement, continue right towards the settlement Srakovlje. This is followed by driving through Srakovlje, Spodnja Bela, Srednja Bela, Zgornja Bela (in Zgornja Bela we join the road from Preddvor) to Bašelj, where the main road makes a long left bend, and a narrower road continues straight ahead to the parking lot at the log cabin TD Bašelj (starting point Bašelj in descriptions); we however continue from the mentioned junction along the main road for another good 100 m to the next junction, where we continue right along the road towards Gamsov raj and the hamlet Laško. Just about 50 m further, continue along the left road, which gradually begins to ascend moderately. At the hamlet Laško, turn left again, then the asphalt ends and continue driving along the steep macadam road, following it to the parking lot at the smaller junction. Red hiking signposts are located at the junction.
Route description:
From the parking lot, head onto the steep cart track towards Lovrenc. The steepness soon eases and the path leads us to a junction, where the path to the church of St. Lovrenc branches off to the right. We continue along the lower cart track, which ascends steeply again and brings us to the Dom na Lovrencu after 15 minutes' walk from the car.

Beautiful morning for a short but gorgeous walk to Lovrenc. At the top open hut and a bit higher lovely little church and magnificent view into the valley. Highly recommend for any time of day!

Does anyone know if the hut is open or if it's open in winter too and if anyone has a contact?
Thanks nasmeh
