Lanišče - Roman fortress (Lanišče)

Access to starting point:
A) From Postojna, Logatec or Godovič we drive to Kalc near Logatec, and from there we continue driving in the direction of Podkraj. A few hundred meters further from the left hairpin turn, a macadam road branches off to the left from the main road, by which there are signs for the Roman fortress on Lanišče. We park at an appropriate place near the intersection.
B) From Ajdovščina, Predmeja or Črni Vrh above Idrija we drive to Col, and from there we continue driving towards Podkraj and further towards Logatec. When we have already arrived in the Municipality of Logatec, on the section where the road descends and turns slightly to the left, we arrive at a smaller intersection, where a macadam road branches off to the right, by which we notice signs for the Roman fortress on Lanišče. We park near the intersection.

Route description:
From the main road, we continue on the macadam road in the direction of the Roman fortress, which already after a few meters splits into two parts. We continue on the right road, by which there are mountaineering markers for Grčarevec. After the intersection, the path leads us by the edge of a meadow, then passes into the forest and after some ten steps of further walking, we arrive at the ancient Roman fortress on Lanišče.
