Kalce - Viewpoint below Srnjak above Logatec

Access to starting point:
We drive to the settlement Kalce pri Logatcu, where at the bus stop by the crossroads for Podkraj the described path begins. At the starting point, there are no arranged parking spots for hikers.

Route description:
From the bus stop, we head onto a side road towards Podkraj, initially passing individual houses, then beginning to ascend and climbing for a few minutes through the forest. When the road flattens a few minutes later, we turn slightly left before a nearby house onto a macadam road, marked with signs for the viewpoint. On the macadam road, we initially descend slightly and follow the signs for the viewpoint. A few minutes later, the road re-enters the forest and begins to ascend more noticeably, and at several crossroads, we continue to follow the signs for the viewpoint. Higher up, we also cross the route of a high-voltage power line, then turn left at a marked crossroad and arrive at the fortress Lanišče.
We bypass the fortress on the right side, then the path leads us below the route of a power line, from where a view opens up slightly, and we follow the blazes. A little further, the path splits again, and we follow the Knafelc blazes (right to Stara pošta and Hrušica) and continue for a few minutes mostly through the forest. Higher up, we reach a forest road, which we follow to the left, and from there we quickly turn right onto a footpath toward the viewpoint. Only an ascent through the forest and a short descent follow, and we arrive at an arranged viewpoint, from which a beautiful view opens up.
