Railway station Jevnica - the train gets you to Jevnica in the direction of Zidani most - Ljubljana or Ljubljana - Zidani most, on the road direction Ljubljana - Litija, in Senožeti we go across the bridge over the Sava to the railway station Jevnica.
Route description:
From ŽP Jevnica we go left on a local road which comes from Senožeti and we walk there another 20 meters, to a crossroad in front of the monument to the victims of NOB. The path goes past the monument and past three or four houses. At the last house, the footpath ascends and further it runs through the forest. Higher it runs through meadows, here and there past houses, on the forest footpaths. The path is all the time well-marked, because it is part of ZPP, the Ljubljanska mladinska pot and E6 European footpath.

Yesterday my friend and I went along this path. It was such a beautiful sunny but cold winter day, with wonderful views of the Julian Alps, Karavanke and Kamnik Alps, which we admired during lunch at the hut - there's nothing better than treating yourself to a hearty lunch and a beer after a relaxing walk and admiring our snow-covered peaks through the window. And I must praise the caretaker: his friendliness, warm welcome and excellent lunch. So then you just roll back down Completely satisfied that the day was so beautiful.

In these spring days, this described path is accompanied by wonderful views and full of flowers everywhere. For the ascent we used even a bit less than the mentioned two hours, and we didn't rush, we even took time for a break. A more detailed description of the path with photos can be found here.

Nice excursion, suitable also for children. When you climb past the first houses, you reach a meadow where you choose the path past two newer houses, and past an older house. You will find the path on the right side. From there on it's well marked.
