Jelendol (graščina Puterhof) - Veliki Juhej

Access to starting point:
We drive to Tržič, then through the Dovžanova soteska gorge to Jelendol, where at the crossroads below the Puterhof mansion we park at a suitable spot.

Route description:
From the starting point, we head along the left road in the direction of Dolžanka and mountain pastures Kofce, Šija, Pungrat and Tegošče (straight ahead Medvodje, mountain pasture Dolga njiva...). The path ahead leads us past the Puterhof mansion, where the path branches off to the left towards the chapel and Mali and Veliki Juhej, and to the right the path to the tomb of Baron Born.
Here we leave the road and continue left, where we cross a bridge over the Dolžanka stream, then diagonally ascend through the forest. At the junction, we go sharply right in the direction of the chapel, to which we arrive after a few minutes of further walking.
At the chapel, we go left, then after a short ascent we reach the cart track, which we follow left uphill. When the cart track brings us to an indistinct ridge, we go left in the direction of Mali Juhej, to which we arrive in a few steps of further walking.
From Mali Juhej we return to the cart track, along which we walk a short time longer, then the signs for Veliki Juhej direct us right onto a steeper path that begins to ascend through the forest. There follow a few minutes of steep ascent, then we reach the ridge, where we go right and in a few steps of further walking arrive at Veliki Juhej.
