Access to starting point:
First, we drive to Bovec, and then we continue driving towards Čezsoča. In Čezsoča, at the inn Vančar, we continue left in the direction of Jablenca and the Škratov valley, and we follow the narrow and asphalted road past the Slatenik pool to a somewhat larger intersection, where we continue straight (right road which leads to the rockfall on Javoršček, which occurred in 1950). We continue driving on the occasionally ascending road, which we follow to Jablenca. We park at a suitable spot a few 100 meters before the end of the road (at the end of the road there are no suitable parking spots).
Route description:
We continue on the asphalt road to the last houses, where signposts direct us slightly right over a short bridge and then into the forest. Further on, we walk on a forest path and occasionally a view opens up towards the Soča River. At the marked junctions we follow the signs for Golobar. The path then starts to ascend somewhat more steeply and for a short time joins the cart track. After a short ascent, we leave the cart track and turn right onto the footpath which leads along the stone fence. The well-marked path then starts ascending in zig-zags on a quite steep slope. Later, the slope becomes somewhat less steep and the path through the forest brings us to the abandoned forestry cottage.

From the cottage, we then mostly ascend through the forest on a military mule track. The path leads us also past some clearings where a nice view opens up on the surrounding peaks, and a little off the path there is also a military cemetery. The path through the forest then leads us past the Golobar mountain pasture and brings us to the Čez Utro saddle. Here nice views open up on the surrounding peaks, and on the saddle there is also a monument to the fallen partisans.

From the saddle, we continue straight and after a few tens of meters the path brings us to a junction. We continue on the path right upwards, while left leads the path towards Čezsoča and Drežnica.

From the junction onwards, the path is no longer marked, but it is sufficiently trodden that we can follow it without difficulty. Further on, the path runs mostly on the northern side of the mountain and crosses relatively steep slopes several times. In the last part, the path brings us out of the forest and only a short ascent remains to the panoramic summit.

Discussion about the trip Jablenca - Javoršček
grega_p28. 05. 2012
The path in the upper part (a little below the summit) gets lost and overgrown, so you might step onto the ridge earlier or reach the west point entirely - which is not the highest, but offers nice view of Bovec basin.
If descending via Slatenik, you'll currently cross some screes, over which a narrow path goes that is not the safest (especially in rain). If you have vehicle at Počivalnik (road fork), recommend descent via Brda (turn-off at cca 860m - right past Humčiča).

Saw quite a few snakes (blindworms), so watch out for them, lest they watch youmežikanje

grega blindworms are not snakes, they are lizards, nasmeh, I'm wondering if there are also some fossil rocks in these rocks, could be interesting

I recommend returning to the valley along the same path, because on the other side there were recent landslides, and I do not recommend continuing, due to the overgrown terrain the markers are poorly visible.

We went anyway, nothing serious, a bit of walking through nettles, carefully over the landslide, and steep slopes.

Has anyone perhaps walked here in the last few days? Is the path perhaps trodden?
darinka419. 03. 2019
I saw it from Krasji vrh, but haven't been up yet. Maybe this year? Just wondering how traceable the path still is, especially if you go first when everything is unknown.

I've already walked this path to Javoršček, the path is traceable. Returned the same way as the path through Slatenik was closed then. I also know Lipnik and Hudi vrh above Golobar (mulatiera starts above the big concrete cross), but I'll never forget when after strenuous hike I wanted to sit on the top, it scared me sksksk, a viper namely.

For starting point you can choose also a kilometer further from Kala-Koritnica. At the bridge there is enough space for parking. (In Jablenca there is no space for parking, except at the pool). Cross the bridge to the right, and after 10 min walk on cart track, the sign directs you left up the hill. The path is marked to Golobar. It is also marked on the "hribi.net" map, exactly from the described starting point.

Thanks to both for the useful information. nasmehnasmeh

You can also start right in Kal Koritnica (large parking lot by the main road) and go down to Soča, cross it, go left along it and soon come across markings to Golobar. Very nice and pleasant path. I was there last July. At the top there were plenty of wild strawberries. Recommend descent the same path. Through Slatenik the landslide can be very problematic. Good luck!

Darinka!
Best to leave the car at the monument in Kal - Koritnica (opposite the inn), there it will be safe from (frequent) break-ins. The marked trail is also best started here. The trail as a whole is easily followable, to the Soča river and over the suspension bridge, and onwards all along the mule track. Almost entirely to Planina Golobar we walk through the forest. Also on Planina Golobar orientation is not problematic, the path leads past ruined buildings and the NOB monument, right to the pass and here once again right towards the ridge. Return (circular variant) via Slatenik is not possible due to collapse (about 50 meters of trail missing and detour due to steepness not possible, therefore the mentioned trail has been closed for several years. We must return along the same trail to Kal - Koritnica or (if we have transport) continue to Planina Predolino and onwards to Drežnica... I recommend using the Bovec 1:25000 hiking map.

The path between planina Predolina (Zaprikraj) and planina Golobar is impassable due to 15m of washed-away path, safe bypass not possible.
smatjaz13. 09. 2022 09:00:53
The trail between planina Predolina (Zaprikraj) and planina Golobar is currently passable as the Pot miru (red-black markings) runs along it and the landslides have been temporarily repaired, so with a little caution there will be no problems, especially when wet. However, every rainfall can turn it impassable. Over Slatenik there are two trails. The upper marked one already crosses the first landslide above it right from the weekend and there are no problems, much lower down at about 800 m it leads to a large landslide which is impassable so it stops there. Somewhat lower from the first landslide at the same weekend, a hunting trail branches off to the left (hard-to-see left junction) which leads steeply down to the bed of the Slatenik stream and along it towards the valley, at the large landslide an emergency narrow and fairly dangerous path has been made, especially when wet, and the landslide can be crossed, but I strongly advise against it as the path is unmarked and the crossing is only makeshift and changes with every rain and can become impassable which means return to planina Golobar. Therefore I definitely recommend return via Golobar.

10.09.2022 pathless to Javoršček
This time for the penultimate day of our vacation in the Bovec area, we chose a somewhat special summit called Javoršček, which doesn't exceed 1,557 m in height and actually looks nothing special in the shadow of its famous brother, the Bovec Matterhorn - Svinjak or correctly the old Slovenian Svitnjak. I won't describe the route to the Javoršček area, as it lies in the Bovec basin on the left side of the Soča River at the altitude of the village Kal - Koritnica, above the confluence of Soča and Koritnica, more precisely above the villages Jablenca and Čezsoča. Since a marked hiking path runs along the bed of the Golobarski Stream on a mule track, which is routed under the former route of the Golobarska cableway, whose lower station is visible on the main road from Trenta at the right bend just before Kal - Koritnica. In short, the exploratory spirit doesn't let us rest and armed with some "local" information, a paper map, and navigation, we head off from Počivalnik at one-third height of less than 600 m, where we arrive by road to the Javoršček viewpoint at the large rockfall used by climbers for their activity. From here we continue along the road past the rockfall and at the right bend where the road also ends (once it went much higher, before the rockfall), we turn into the forest. The path begins to ascend steeply and is entirely unmarked and hard to follow, so you need to be careful and keep your eyes peeled, as it only crosses rocky cliffs in one and only section and you can soon stray into impassable terrain where continuation is impossible. With difficulty we follow the very little visited hunter's path to the crossing over the cliffs, where a "fragile" secured path over overhanging cliffs with wire that electricians usually use awaits us, but better than nothing. In any case, I strongly advise against this path in wet and slippery weather, accidents are known on this path, even the worst ones. So slowly as on "eggshells" we reach the last overhanging section, where metal steps of rather shaky reputation are installed, but if you don't have better, use what's available and we're across. The continuation is somewhat, mildly put, more pleasant along the aforementioned wire until we climb to the top part of the ridge, where there's no more danger of slipping and falling. If I mentioned before that the path is hard to follow, here it's a real art to find it, despite every now and then a stone placed where it shouldn't be, indicating it's a "path". So slowly a bit below the abandoned forestry hut we join the marked hiking path, which we follow without features over Golobarska planina to the Utre saddle, where the path turns right onto the ridge and along it to the very summit of Javoršček. An interesting fact about Javoršček is also that it's drilled lengthwise and across, like many summits in the Soča area where offensives took place. Right through it ran the border between Austria-Hungary and Italy during the 12th offensive, so it was the first front line here. Since clouds began to gather, we quickly hurry back to the valley (although nothing came of them afterwards and they dissipated). At Utre, armed with locals' information and the map, we turn right past the sign that the path is closed due to rockfall and soon find ourselves at the hunter's hut, from where we continue to the Slatenik stream on the slope of Slatnik. At the junction we head to Planina Slatenik, where we encounter the first rockfall, which can be safely crossed above it. We continue on the once marked but now unmaintained hiking path over Slatnik along the slopes of the Slatenik stream valley to Laške peči, where we encounter a huge rockfall, which cannot be safely crossed, actually impossible at all. Since on the way here in the forest we saw a huge number of wooden structures, some somewhat better preserved and some already collapsing, and on the map saw a hunter's path running a bit lower that (according to locals) allows crossing the rockfall, we descended twice towards the stream but didn't find it. At home on the computer I only then saw how close we were before turning back. In short, we return to the junction and turn left towards the Polovnik ridge under Vršice and Lipnik, which is also marked with a red-black sign indicating we're on the Path of Peace leading to Planina Predolina. This path too is narrow, slippery and heavily damaged by rockfalls in places, but still safely routed and visibly maintained. Upon reaching Planina Predolina under Polovnik, we head right onto the forest logging trail descending towards the valley and (per map) also crossing the hiking path. The descent on this path was quite long until simply this path ends. We continue on not too steep pathless terrain where we encounter huge remnants of battles and the front (helmets, weapon remnants, structure remnants, rifle trenches, barbed wire....). The pathless terrain begins to descend ever steeper to the overhanging walls of a large gully which is impassable, the path marked on the map nowhere and we didn't find it either. Therefore we head away from the gully into the steepness of Mrzli dol and slowly descend it. During this darkness catches us and we call on our headlamps for help, which fantastically performed their task. Due to the steepness and slippery terrain we spend quite a bit of time to descend to the Slatenik stream, which we cross and soon also find the sought hunter's path and mule track. Soon we arrive under the previously mentioned large rockfall, which here can be "fairly safely" crossed with the help of our already favorite electrician wire. After crossing the rockfall the path turns into a mule track (after descent through Mrzli dol it was a highway for us) and takes us past Škratova dolina, Zahonca and Osojnica to the end of the Slatenik stream valley and to the main road connection between Čezsoča and Jablenca. Since we had Pločevinkota much higher, I had no choice but after 14 hours of wandering pathless to go for it too, which turned out as a "piece of cake". So we soon landed in our accommodation in the valley, where satisfied and with new experiences we went to rest.
As a WARNING, let me mention that the marked path over Slatnik is closed due to a large rockfall, underneath it runs an unmarked hunter's path that is quite dangerous due to the rockfall, which although on the map is extremely hard to follow and if you miss it, you end up in impassable terrain. Unfortunately, I didn't find the path that's also marked on the map from Debeljak to Polovnik nor from Planina Predolina, because it's very likely overgrown and untraceable due to very low visitation. Perhaps in daylight I could find it, .........maybe next time.
In short, there are NO marked paths to Planina Predolina and Polovnik, nor to Javoršček via Slatenik stream valley. There are hunter's and unmarked poorly visible tracks, which I don't recommend to everyone who lacks a sense of orientation and following them.
