Access to starting point:
From Kamnik we drive towards Kamniška Bistrica. Soon at the beginning of the valley, immediately after the large quarry we notice a big wooden sign, which marks the beginning of the path Koželjeva pot. The sign points left over the bridge. Behind it, along the macadam path, there are some parking spots.
Route description:
The path over Hudi Konci to Kamniški vrh is something special. Not only because of the name, which sounds very serious. It is one of the rare entirely independent routes. It doesn't intersect with any other anywhere, which is in the labyrinth of paths, trails and traillets around Kamniški vrh really a rare achievement.
After the bridge there is a parking space for a couple of cars, immediately thereafter a junction. Left goes the forest road into the Potok valley, right along nice macadam goes the marked Koželjeva pot towards Kamniška Bistrica. Between them is the beginning of the footpath which leads over Hudi Konci to Kamniški vrh. We find it a few steps ahead from the board with the map.
Hudi Konci is a ridge, which on the east side sticks to Kamniški vrh.
To the top of the ridge the footpath goes through the forest, sometimes straight uphill, other times in switchbacks, more at the beginning it goes once even below the double pylon of the power line, which supplies electricity to Kamniška Bistrica, several times it splits into two and goes a little right and a little left, but every time both branches quickly come together again. Even in fresh snow or in autumn in dry leaves you can't get lost. You just need to stick to the ridge all the way to the top.
When we arrive at Hudi Konci a view opens towards the south to the Ljubljana Basin. From the north side the forest reaches right to the edge, on the south side it lacks just enough to see half of Slovenia.
Now the path becomes more level, enjoyable, a few times it even goes downhill. Only the last meters below the summit require a bit more effort again.

Discussion about the trip Iverje - Kamniški vrh (via Hudi Konci)

First via Hude Konce, really nice trail. Admittedly somewhat longer time-wise than others, because you have to traverse the entire V ridge from Kamniški vrh, but it's worth it, because along the summit ridge the trail rewards you with nice views of the Krvavec hills and all the peaks of KSA. It's somewhat steeper in places, so in wet/snow/ice it might justify its name nasmeh

Besides, it's not as crowded as the other trails from the south side and you can enjoy your peace. As already written, you really can't get lost, even though it's not marked nasmeh

I checked the described trail according to the above comment-I must admit that these are really the steep slopes "HUDI KONCI" and the borderline of two sides. Today's day is beautiful for viewing Kamniški konec and peaks over 2000m. The trail is solitary and dry, decide on the climb yourselves.

Today at Kamniški vrh. The trail is nicely cleared and really enjoyable. I recommend it to everyone with fitness and lovers of solitary trails. Along the way I also picked BIO spruce tips.

Path like life - first steep that makes you gasp, then on ridge you ponder something so beautiful (for altitude) rarely found. Towards end squeezes full throttle again, at the top wise how views reward effortnasmeh recommend!

Yesterday we went again to Kamniški vrh via this path. Does anyone know when they dug the new road that made the trail hard to follow in the lower part?
grega_z_brega21. 10. 2015
Probably last year after the ice storm.
It was already there in spring when I went on this path.

On 17.4 along the following path to Kamniški vrh and the neighboring peak named Planjava. Continuation along the ridge to Kržišće, descent towards Korošica.

What is the current followability of this trail, has anyone hiked it?

Enka, Grega from the shore will probably know best. He always has up-to-date info. Grega, let us know if you know!nasmeh

I went to check it out alonevelik nasmeh. Super trail, if you know to always just cross all roads or cart tracks and that the trail continues about 2 m to the left or right uphill, no problem finding it. Lots of blueberries along the trail, and even some boletes were foundnasmeh.

Bravo, Enka, so you made it to the top without problems. It's quite steep, isn't it?
Enka22. 07. 2018
The steepness is just right nasmeh

For those going for the first time... The trail start is right by the red ramp. So the Calcit sign and wrong direction up along the stream doesn't confuse you. Slippery at the crossing between Hudi konc and Kamniški vrh. Is the name Hudi konc related to all those ancient landmarks?
