Access to starting point:
We drive to Luče (from Mozirje or via Kranjski rak) and continue towards Logarska dolina. Soon after the village Solčava we come to the crossroads, where the road to Logarska dolina branches off to the left. We turn left towards Logarska dolina (toll payment) and drive to the crossroads, where we continue on the left road (slightly right to the Rinka waterfall), which we then follow to a large parking lot near the hotel Plesnik (parking in front of the hotel is permitted only for guests).
Route description:
From the parking lot, we head onto the walking path that takes us past Hotel Plesnik and in a few minutes brings us to the Palenk waterfall. At the waterfall we notice a mountain signpost with the inscription Strelovec and Icmankov stan, which directs us to the left. The path then immediately steeply ascends a steep and when wet dangerous for slipping slope, which is at the same time also exposed to falling stones. The steep path quickly brings us to a stream (above the waterfall), where there is a smaller orientation loop. Here we continue sharply left on a poorly beaten but marked path (the path to the right leads to the waterfalls of the Palenk stream), which continues steeply ascending. Higher up the steepness eases for a short time, but only because we cross a slightly exposed steep slope below Rkljeva peč (steel cable). The path then goes back into the forest and higher joins the path from Plesnikova planina.
We continue left on a noticeably less steep path, which with a few smaller views brings us to a wooden hut. From the hut, which is located on a smaller non-panoramic clearing, the path returns to the forest, where it then ascends to the edge of Icmanikova planina, where there is a junction.
We continue right in the direction of Strelovec (left to the viewpoint Logarska peč 5 minutes) on the path that quickly returns to the forest from the planina. The path then ascends through dense forest and has a few smaller orientation loops. During the ascent, two parallel paths accompany us, both marked. I advise sticking to the left path all the time, as the right one in the upper part makes a large detour. If we continue on the left path, it transitions from dense forest to occasionally more and more panoramic slopes. When the path brings us to the main ridge, the steepness also eases. Here the path turns slightly to the right and brings us along a slightly vegetated ridge in a few dozen steps to the summit of Strelovec.
Hotel Plesnik - Icmanikova planina 2:15, Icmanikova planina - Strelovec 45 minutes.

Discussion about the trip Hotel Plesnik - Strelovec (via Rkljeva peč)

I'm searching the web for something about the abandoned, once strongly built hut (forestry?) in the middle of steep forest in Hudem grabnu, from where Fink and I returned from Icmanikova peč faaaar down towards Icmanik farm. We almost put on our small crampons for the poorly trodden and quite steep slippery leafy path. A week earlier we were trudging on the S side under the named peč, but without rope and ice axe we didn't risk it. Me, Anita, made gaiters in partisan style: from all spare clothes from the backpack. Icmanik's dog got scared of me upon return, couldn't bark anymore...

I did this path at the end of October, a very nice path that offers a lot, but I must warn that it is very poorly marked (faded markings) or there are none at all anymore... you can see some photos here.

You reminded me of this path, which I haven't walked for at least 30 years. Last time I wandered a bit nearby and went from Klemenče towards Plesnikova planina and then to Plesnikov. I was surprised because this path is well trodden and marked. But I met no one. Best regards

Basically, it is an unmarked path (KSA map 1:50000, Grintovci 1:25000). Regards

well, I was a bit right because they are really poorly visible as if marked for quite some time and even now it's a more poorly visible path because leaves have covered it, but if you're a bit more of a hiking type you quickly find your way... up there everything is quite messed up due to the construction of a new forest road

thanks for the praise I recommend this path, I liked it a lot...but I'd recommend it more in spring when there's no more snow because that crossing under Rkljevo peč would now be very tricky...elsewhere it's not so exposed...maybe I'll repeat it in spring

very poorly marked path almost completely abandoned, I was there yesterday and at the waterfall no signs for Strelovec.

For me one of the nicer paths - interesting passages, dark mysterious forest, fairy-tale hut and nice views from the rocks. Suitable for a late autumn trip, when nature is in colorful hues! Marked just enough to follow the path!

On Saturday I would like to go on this trail. Is the trail suitable for beginners? Thank you!

If the beginner is suitable, then the trail is too. And vice versa. And Stol from Austria nothing was noticed whether one went or not went

Not suitable for complete beginners! The crossing under Rkljeva peč is exposed and here and there you need to find the continuation of the path.

@ Alni, haven't you tried searching for hikes yet, above on this page there's a tab, check it out, highlight certain keywords, and you'll get hits, of course you'll probably choose easy trails.

I was satisfied with everything on the trail, also the wonderful dark forest, fairy-tale little house. I will repeat the trip in autumn, when nature dresses in its "wonderful dress" of autumn colors. Best regards

Yesterday during descent from Strelovec over Icmankova planina, most likely in the upper part, I lost a warmer brown hoodie with hood. Honest finder please call me at 031 320 039 or deliver it to pension Na Razpotju. Thanks!

Today from Plesnik to Strelovec and then further to krofičiko, then descent past klemenče jame back to Hotel Plesnik, nice circular tour that with moderate walking and breaks lasted 8.30 h. Excellent solitary fairy-tale path from the hotel to Strelovec and further towards krofički.....I'll return!!!

Hello, somewhere there is also described the trail to Strelovec past the hut at Klemenči jama - but I can't find it anymore. Is it still passable?

The path past Klemenča cave is very nice and interesting, first it steeply ascends above the hut and then goes more level, if I remember correctly the markers guide you but you can't get lost. Definitely more interesting than from Robanov kot, where you have to walk (too) long on a gravel road.

The mentioned path walked a few weeks ago in autumn colors. There's some new stuff: the terrain is increasingly crisscrossed with forest roads and the forest is sparser. Otherwise, it was excellent like the first time I went four years ago. PICTURES and personal impressions from the path Regards! Tone

Icmanikova planina (pictures no. 18 and 19) is crossed by a new forest road, so very little of the meadow remains...

Today I did this trail. At the waterfall there is no longer a signpost, last year's windstorm also caused some damage here, but it is possible to follow the once-marked path without major difficulties. The path gets lost here and there. From the point where the path joins the one from Plesnikova planina, it is well marked and cleared of fallen trees. There seems to be no interest in maintaining Icmankova koča. Well, I found Strelovec, and it continued further.

The path above Rkljeva peč is crossed and hidden by new forest roads, they look something like this Sketch of forest roads

When you reach the new road for the first time, follow it straight uphill for about 150m and then above the first left bend notice the marker on the tree above the road. Do not continue on the road to the left, but climb steeply to the marker and then continue on the marked path towards Strelovec. Of course, it's easier if you've been there before the new road...
