Horjul - Koreno (gentle path)

Access to starting point:
A) From the Ljubljana - Koper highway, we take the Brezovica exit, then continue driving in the direction of Dobrova near Ljubljana. From Dobrova, we continue in the direction of Horjul, and drive along the regional road to the mentioned place, where we can park on a large parking lot in front of the Metrel factory (on the mentioned parking lot we can park only in the afternoon and on weekends, because the parking lot is intended for employees of the company). If we set out on the tour during the week, we look for a suitable parking space somewhere nearby.
B) From the Koper - Ljubljana highway, we take the Vrhnika exit, then continue driving in the direction of Horjul. When we arrive in Horjul, at the intersection we turn right in the direction of Dobrova, then after 50 meters right to the parking lot in front of the Metrel factory (on the mentioned parking lot we can park only in the afternoon and on weekends, because the parking lot is intended for employees of the company). If we set out on the tour during the week, we look for a suitable parking space somewhere nearby.

Route description:
From the starting point, we continue on the sidewalk (along the main road which leads towards Vrzdenec), and we walk along it to the intersection, where signs for Koreno direct us to the right. We continue past the NOB monument, church and Center for the Elderly Horjul (DEOS) to the intersection, where the main road towards Koreno and Samotorica turns to the left, and we continue straight to the nearby chapel.
At the chapel, the road splits into three parts, and we choose the rightmost road, on which the signs for the gentle path also direct us (on the middle road runs the steep path to Koreno). We continue on the initially still level asphalt road, which higher up enters the forest and ascends more steeply. Further on, the road leads us past a few houses, then returns to the forest and brings us out of it a little before the open-door farm Ramovš. We bypass the mentioned farm on the right side, then begin to ascend on a poorer macadam road, which a little higher turns sharply to the right and changes into a gradually steeper cart track. The cart track leads us through the forest for some time, then brings us to the place where the path splits into two parts.
If we continue on the left path, we quickly ascend to an asphalt road, which we then follow to the right and ascend to the pr'Lenart farm with nice views.
If we continue on the right path, we first ascend somewhat more steeply, then the path levels out and brings us to the place where we join the path from Zaklanec and the Prosca saddle. At the mentioned junction, we continue left and in a few steps walk to the pr'Lenart farm.
From the mentioned farm, we continue left and on the level asphalt road in 3 minutes of further walking ascend to the church of St. Mohor on Koreno.
