Grozzana / Gročana - Kokoš

Access to starting point:
From highway Ljubljana - Koper we go to the exit Kozina, and then we continue driving on a regional road from Kozina towards Bazovica / Basovizza (Italy). Only a little after the national border we get to the settlement Pesek / Pese, where we turn towards Gročana / Grozzana. In Gročana we park by the road before the first houses. The starting point is located higher in the village (picture 1).

Route description:
The marked path first leads us from the starting point along the macadam road, which winds through the forest. The path is easy and marked with white-red blazes, on which the number 3 is sometimes written (picture 3 and 4). After 40 min. we arrive at a marked junction (picture 5), where we turn left. At the mentioned junction we this time turn onto a footpath, which is marked with the number 28 (twenty-eight). We continue the path to the top of Kokoš (674 m).
