Access to starting point:
We drive to Slovenj Gradec and from there towards the Kope ski resort. We park on a large parking lot at Grmovškov dom.
Route description:
From the parking lot, we walk to Grmovškov dom on Kope, where we notice hiking signposts.
Behind Grmovškov dom we continue a little towards the left, where we quickly come to the ski lift Pungart, while the marked path ascends alongside the mentioned ski lift for some time. A little higher, the marked path crosses the mentioned ski lift (while the ski lift operates, we carefully cross it) and turns slightly to the right, where it brings us to the edge of the ski slope. We continue the ascent along the edge of the ski slope and further ascend along the edge of a smaller forest, straight upwards. The marked path, which runs along the entire upper part by the edge of the ski slope, flattens higher up and just a few steps higher brings us to the upper station of the ski lift Pungart. Here we cross the route of the ski lift (while the ski area operates, be careful) and in some 10 steps of additional walking we reach the panoramic summit.
