Gosteče - Brunarica Osovnik (via Vidmovec)

Access to starting point:
A) First, we drive to Medvode; then at the Spar store we leave the main road and continue towards the railway station and settlement Sora. In Sora, first the road towards Katarina branches off to the left, and a little ahead also towards Osolnik. In both cases we continue straight and drive to the settlement Gosteče, where we turn left towards company Avto Lušina, but we drive a further good 100 m ahead to Darja bar, where at the end of the parking lot we park.
B) From Kranj we drive towards Škofja Loka; from the outskirts of Škofja Loka we then follow the signs for Gorenja vas. Before the Sten tunnel, from the roundabout we take the exit in the direction of the settlement Sora. Further on, we drive through settlements Hosta and Pungert to the settlement Gosteče, where we turn right towards company Avto Lušina, but we drive a further good 100 m ahead to Darja bar, where at the end of the parking lot we park.
C) From Poljanska dolina we drive towards Škofja Loka and then along the bypass and through the Sten tunnel. After the tunnel we turn right and follow the signs for settlement Sora. Further on, we drive through settlements Hosta and Pungert to the settlement Gosteče, where we turn right towards company Avto Lušina, but we drive a further good 100 m ahead to Darja bar, where at the end of the parking lot we park.

Route description:
At the end of the parking lot, we continue left over a small bridge, then on the right side of the hayrack and ahead on a beaten footpath which goes into the forest. Through the forest, we at first steeply ascend, then the path flattens a little and continues on and by the ridge. Higher, the footpath splits into a gentle and a steep one, a little ahead they cross each other, and on the ridge of Močerada they join again.
Further, the moderately steep path then from the ridge of Močerada passes to the ridge of Vidmovec, where it also brings us out of the forest. Here on the right side, on a cart track we bypass the nearby house, and when we step on the road, we follow it to the right. We walk a few minutes on the road, then we go left on a footpath which a little further crosses also a somewhat wider road.
When we step on the wider road we continue left (straight on the footpath to the top of Osolnik), then after a few minutes we arrive at a crossroad, where we join the marked path from Sora.
From the crossroad, at the religious symbol the marked path to Osolnik branches off to the right, but we continue right, on the road in the direction of the log cabin Osovnik. Soon after the crossroad we step out of the forest and for some time continue with nice views and without major changes in altitude. After crossing a shorter strip of forest we ascend to a smaller saddle, where some houses are situated.
We continue straight downwards (right to the top of Osolnik), then at the first crossroad we go left to the nearby log cabin Osovnik, to which only a few dozen steps of walking remain.
