Gornje Jelenje - Tuhobić (mountain path on Tuhobić)

Access to starting point:
From the old road Delnice - Reka (Lujzijana) / Rijeka (Lujzijana) we drive to the crossroad for Gornje Jelenje, where we park at a suitable place. Nearby are located trail markers and a road sign for the settlement Gornje Jelenje, which we reach after 1.5 km of walking.

Route description:
From the main road, the footpath at first leads between holiday cottages; after approximately 20 minutes of walking, we reach a marked crossroad, from which we go right in the direction of the peak Tuhobić (left Izviđački dom).
Here, the footpath passes into the forest and starts visibly ascending; after approximately 10 minutes, it turns sharply left (here we must be careful not to continue straight). Next follows a walk through a beautiful forest on a well-maintained and excellently marked hiking path. After 20 minutes, the footpath passes onto the ridge of Tuhobić, where it becomes steep but still continues through the forest, occasionally offering a beautiful view that reaches all the way to the sea. After half an hour, we step out of the forest onto a grassy slope, from which wonderful views open up. Next follows 20 more minutes of easy walking, and we reach the top of Tuhobić, from which a view opens up on the surrounding peaks, Kvarner Bay, and the sea.
