Gabrje - Planinski dom pri Gospodični

Access to starting point:
From Novo Mesto or Otočec we drive to the village Velike Brusnice. Further, we follow the road towards the village Gabrje. In the center of the village Gabrje (immediately behind the inn) we come to the crossroad, where we continue straight in the direction of street Šumeči potok. At the end of the street we will notice a larger parking lot and by it signposts for Gorjanci.

Route description:
From the end of the parking lot, we continue on the right road in the direction of Gorjanci. Already after a few steps, the road has the next crossroad; we continue left on the upper road, which is getting worse and through a meadow brings us into the forest. The road, which in the meantime has already changed into a cart track, starts ascending. During the ascent the cart track has quite a few crossings, so we carefully follow the blazes, which safely lead upwards. The cart track then slowly turns into a footpath, which a little higher runs through a panoramic meadow from which in good visibility a view opens up towards Kamnik and Savinja Alps. The path then for a short time ascends steeper and over a bridge leads over a smaller stream. Next follows only a few dozen strides of walking and the path brings us to the well Gospodična. Here we continue right on the path which after some gentle stairs brings us to the mountain hut.
