Dravograjsko jezero - Church of the Holy Cross at Dravograd

Access to starting point:
A) From Slovenj Gradec or the Mežiška valley we drive to Dravograd, and then still before the bridge over the Drava River we turn left in the direction of the settlements Črneče and Libeliče. Further on, we first cross the Meža River, and then past HE Dravograd we arrive at Dravograd Lake, where we drive onto the first macadam road to the left, and at its beginning we park on the macadam parking lot.
B) We drive to Dravograd, and then we continue driving towards Slovenj Gradec. Soon after the bridge over the Drava River, we turn right in the direction of the settlements Črneče and Libeliče. Further on, we first cross the Meža River, and then past HE Dravograd we arrive at Dravograd Lake, where we drive onto the first macadam road to the left, and at its beginning we park on the macadam parking lot.

Route description:
From the starting point, we continue on the macadam road in the direction of Šteharski vrh. We soon get to the right hairpin turn, from which a nice view opens up on Dravograd Lake. A little further, we get to a crossroad, where we go left and then the road flattens and leads us through a larger plain, where on the right we see forested Šteharski vrh. At the end of the plain we get to the settlement Dobrova pri Dravogradu, where at the crossroads we follow the signs for Šteharski vrh and Sveti Križ.
At one of the houses in the settlement we continue left on a macadam road, on which we diagonally ascend to a water catchment, and after the water catchment we continue right upwards. Next follows a short steeper ascent, crossing of an asphalt road, and then we already get to the church of the Holy Cross, from which a beautiful view opens up.
