Access to starting point:
A) From the highway Ljubljana - Maribor, take the exit Slovenske Konjice, then follow the road to the mentioned place. In Slovenske Konjice, turn right towards Oplotnica, which is a few kilometers away via a winding road. In Oplotnica, where we join the road from Slovenska Bistrica, continue left in the direction of Osankarica. Further on, we ascend alongside the Oplotnica stream for some time, then arrive at a crossroads where the road splits into two parts. Here, we can continue left towards Osankarica or right towards the village Kebelj. If we take the left road, it soon turns to macadam and higher up brings us to a somewhat larger crossroads, where we continue right towards Osankarica (left Rogla). From the crossroads, a few hairpin turns follow, and the macadam road brings us to the parking lot below the Dom na Osankarici mountain hut (from the road fork to the starting point is approximately 9 km). If we take the right road, we can reach the Dom na Osankarici via a somewhat longer but entirely asphalted road. All crossroads are well marked.
B) From the highway Maribor - Ljubljana, take the exit Slovenska Bistrica - Jug, then continue driving towards Oplotnica. In Oplotnica, where we see signs for Osankarica, continue straight, then ascend alongside the Oplotnica stream for some time; after a short ascent, we arrive at the point where the road splits into two parts.
C) Drive to Ruše (to here from Maribor or Selnica ob Dravi), then continue driving towards Smolnik and higher to Šumik. At the crossroads where the road to Koča na Šumiku branches off to the right, continue straight. A sharp left turn follows, near which is the starting point of the path to the Šumik waterfall; we then arrive a little further at the next crossroads, where we continue right towards Osankarica. A few kilometers of macadam road follow, and we arrive at the parking lot below the Dom na Osankarici mountain hut.
Route description:
From the parking lot near the Dom na Osankarici mountain hut, head onto the footpath towards Črno jezero lake. The path first ascends the stairs, then takes us into a swampy forest. The path through the forest partly runs over smaller wooden bridges, allowing us to walk on dry ground. After 20 minutes of pleasant walking, the path brings us to Črno jezero lake.
From the lake, continue on the path towards Trije kralji. The path ahead first rises slightly, then takes us almost level to a path junction, where we continue right (left Šumik). The forest path then leads past Urškin križ cross to the ski slope of the Trije kralji ski resort. From here, our path begins to descend towards the church of the Holy Three Kings, which we reach after a further 15 minutes of walking.

Discussion about the trip Dom na Osankarici - Sveti Trije kralji

We did this walk today. Not even a walk, since an almost new wooden path leads to Črno jezero. Only missing a conveyor belt. The path is exceptionally beautiful, soft, easy, very crowded today. Will have to choose a much longer tour on Pohorje.
