Access to starting point:
The starting point is by the road Ptuj - Trakoščan. More precisely, between the border crossings Leskovec and Cvetlin at the top of the pass below the church.
Route description:
Most of this path runs through Croatian territory, therefore documents are mandatory.
From the parking lot, we climb up the stairs and continue on the marked path among the vineyards. At the second crossroad, we continue straight ahead on the road towards the forest (photo), then continue on the forest path and reach the road from Cvetlin again, where our path quickly branches off to the right (there is a signpost by the path, so we cannot miss the turn-off). We continue on the forest path, which slowly ascends to Gorica, where there are remains of an unfinished church. Immediately thereafter, we turn left again into the forest on the "Janezeva staza". In winter on this section in frozen snow there is a risk of slipping. Further on, already from the forest among the trees we see our destination.
From the top of the hill there is a nice view of the nearby and distant surroundings.
