Črni križ pri Hrastovcu - Lake Komarnik

Access to starting point:
We leave the Pomurska motorway from the direction of Maribor at the exit for Lenart in Slovenske gorice, then from the traffic-light junction we turn left towards Lenart and Gornja Radgona. Immediately after the junction on the right we will notice a smaller roadside rest area, where the described path begins.
Access to the starting point from the opposite direction isn't possible, or we need to make a detour to turn around at a suitable place and then arrive at the starting point from the correct direction of the road.

Route description:
From the starting point, we ascend on a footpath to the route of the old main road, from where we steeply ascend on stairs to Črni križ.
We bypass Črni križ on the right side, then continue on a beaten path through the forest, which isn't marked. In a gentle descent, we reach a walking path in a few minutes that leads around the lake; we follow it to the left and walk to a nearby observation post, from which a beautiful view of the lake opens up.
