Access to starting point:
On the island of Lefkada in Greece, drive to the village Chortata (gr. Χορτάτα; pronunciation "hortata"). In the village, continue towards the village Menasi (gr. Μενάσι) and very soon uphill towards Egklouvi (gr. Έγκλαουβι). Park at the very last steep part of the road before it reaches the plateau. There, a macadam road branches off to the south. This is our starting point for the hike.
Route description:
Walk along the macadam road for a good hour, then the path narrows and for 15 minutes leads to the foot of the last summit slope. Here the path is somewhat more overgrown for some 10 meters, but well visible. The last steepest part follows the left indistinct ridge. There are also faded markings on the path, nevertheless the path is less visible here. After this part we reach the top, from where the whole island, mainland Greece and numerous other islands to the south are visible (Meganisi, Skorpios and others towards Kefalonia).
