Route description:
The Summit Walk begins at the end of Kosciuszko Rd. above the parking lots at Charlotte Pass. Just 30 meters from the start of Summit Walk, the longer Main Range Walk also begins (a track that runs along the ridge of the highest mountains of (mainland) Australia). Both paths are marked, while the Summit Walk gently ascends, the Main Range Track descends at the beginning.
In the first kilometer of Summit Walk, the forest ends. Around the 5th kilometer, a bridge over the Snowy River is crossed. The whole time, the wide path of about 6.5 kilometers to Seaman's Hut is followed.
Along the route: Snowy River (1930m)
