Cerknica (Dom starejših občanov) - Slivnica (Zatrepi - Slivnica)

Access to starting point:
From the highway Ljubljana - Koper we go to the exit Unec and follow the road ahead in the direction of Cerknica. Only a few hundred meters before Cerknica we will come to the roundabout, where we choose the third turn-off towards Begunje and Slivnica. We continue on the main road to the next roundabout, there we follow the signs to the senior citizens' home, where on the parking lot we leave the car.

Route description:
From the senior citizens' home we continue on the road in the direction of Slivnica. After a few hundred meters of an asphalt road, we come to a macadam road which leads to Slivnica. We continue straight, to the next crossroad and a parking lot. There we turn right on a steep unmarked footpath which in the beginning runs through a meadow and then passes into the forest. For some time we walk on a forest footpath, where at all crossroads we stick to the left, until we join the forest road. We turn right on the road which turns left uphill and joins the marked path from Cerknica. A few hundred meters we follow the path, to the beginning of a plain, where we then turn to the right on a pasture. From here we already see the mountain hut and the peak.
We continue through the pasture, where in the summer time we encounter horses and cows. We then follow a marked footpath to the hut.
Here we should refresh ourselves with a kremšnita.
If we want, we can continue to the top (5 minutes) or to the lovers' bench (3 minutes).
