Access to starting point:
From the direction of Zasavje we drive towards Radeče, and then on the left bank of the river Sava, in the settlement Obrežje we leave the main road which continues over the bridge and continue on a side road in the direction of Lisca, Breg, and Loka. We continue driving through the settlements Loka pri Zidanem Mostu, Račica to the settlement Breg, where by the sports field the described path begins.
From the direction of Posavje we first drive to Boštanj, from where we head from the roundabout towards Sevnica, immediately after the bridge over the river Sava we go from the roundabout at the Lidl store "left" on the exit in the direction of Breg. We continue driving along the river Sava to the settlement Breg, where by the sports field the described path begins.
Route description:
From the starting point by the sports field, we continue on the asphalt road towards the northeast, and after crossing the stream, we go left towards Lisca and Jurklošter. In a light ascent, we continue past a few more houses, then the road splits, and we proceed on the left road, marked with signs for the mountain path to Lovrenc (straight to Lisca), bypassing the football field on the right side. Along the path, we continue for quite some time on a gently sloping road that leads us through the valley of stream Podvinski potok. Further on, at a few smaller crossroads, we continue straight, following the blazes. The road later begins to gradually ascend more steeply, leading us past a few more houses, ponds, and later the Azaleja restaurant.
At the closed restaurant (as of May 2025), the road turns right, but shortly after, at a marked crossing, we leave it and continue left on a marked cart track, which turns into a quite overgrown footpath in a meadow. Next follows an ascent through a strip of forest, and we reach the driving road to the right of a nearby house.
We cross the road and continue on the marked path, which mostly runs through the forest and, higher up, leads past individual houses where we cross some access roads or walk along them briefly.
Higher up, we reach a slightly wider macadam road, which we follow to the right (left towards Loka pri Zidanem Mostu). We quickly ascend to a marked crossing, where a logbook box and a stamp for Lovrenc are located.
Here, we turn right towards Lisca (left towards Radeče, Veliko Kozje, and the Gračnica valley), passing a chapel and a fenced area, and ascend to the church of St. Lovrenc, from which a beautiful view opens up.
Description and pictures refer to the condition in May 2025.

Discussion about the trip Breg - Sveti Lovrenc (above Okroglice)
Gost12. 12. 2007
There is also an asphalt road to Sveti Lovrenc. From Sveti Lovrenc two pleasant, well-marked paths lead: one to Lisca and the other to Veliko Kozje. Both take about an hour of walking. From Lovrenc to Kozje is a much more pleasant and less steep path than from Gašperjeva koča.

I'm wondering where that stamping box is that's visible in the last picture?
Tadej31. 10. 2008
If you look at this picture you can see it bottom left by the fence.

Has anyone been to Sv. Lovrenc recently? I'm interested if clusijev svišč is blooming yet, last year at this time it was in full bloom nasmeh

The path from Okroglice to Lovrenc is somewhat poorly trodden in places. Some sections are a bit steeper - dirty pants. Markings are there, but somewhat sparse in places.

Now the stamps (Zasavska, XIV divizije and Sevniška) are in the saddle under the church, towards Veliko Kozje.
Clusijev svišč is still blooming, but everything is fenced. Otherwise a nice tour from ŽP Zidani Most over Veliko Kozje to Lovrenc and further to Lisca and to Ješivec. I descended via Zlateče to Sevnica and to the train... In Tončkov dom it's quite expensive and small portions. The path is quite well marked, only from Lovrenc I searched a bit for the path that branches left from the road.

The above description is updated, and the pictures have also been replaced.
Otherwise a nice trip that can be extended with a visit to Lisca or Veliko Kozje.
