Access to starting point:
A) From the Ljubljana - Maribor highway, take the Arja vas exit, i.e., Velenje, and follow the road to the mentioned town. From Velenje, continue in the direction of Šoštanj. From Šoštanj, continue driving in the direction of Črna na Koroškem, but only to the Spodnje Sleme pass, where we turn left towards the mountain hut Andrejev dom. After 100 m we come to the next crossroad, where we continue left to the mountain hut Andrejev dom in front of which we park.
B) From the Koroška side, we first drive to Črna na Koroškem and follow the road ahead towards Šoštanj. At the Spodnje Sleme pass, we turn right towards the mountain hut Andrejev dom. Further, we follow the above description.
Route description:
From the mountain hut Andrejev dom we continue on the road in the direction of the mountain hut Dom na Smrekovcu. The road quickly brings us to the first crossroad, where we continue left upwards. Further, we follow the road, which for some time still ascends, then starts gently descending to the next crossroad, where we continue right, again in the direction of the mountain hut Dom na Smrekovcu. This road we soon leave as the blazes direct us left onto a cart track, which at first moderately, then quite steeply ascends. Follows one hour of walking with some descents and ascents to a junction by the chapel, where from the right the path from Črna na Koroškem joins. We continue towards Smrekovec and only a little further we come to the road, where we continue in the direction of Smrekovec along the road, or right in the direction of Smrekovec via Bukov stan. From here onwards, all the way to the junction, which we reach after approximately 30 minutes of further walking, the road slightly ascends. At the junction, we leave the road and head right onto a wide footpath, which in a moderate ascent, first through the forest, then over a grassy slope, brings us to the mountain hut Dom na Smrekovcu.
From the hut we continue on the path in the direction of Smrekovec. The path first moderately ascends over a grassy slope, then goes into the forest, where it steeply ascends for a short time. The steepness quickly eases and the path brings us to a junction, where we continue slightly right in the direction of Smrekovec (left Komen). The path ahead leads us through increasingly sparse forest quite steeply upwards. After a few minutes we finally exit the forest and the path levels out. Follows only a few minutes of easy walking along the panoramic summit ridge of Smrekovec to the stone pyramid, which we see on the summit.
Starting point - Kramarica 2:00, Kramarica - Dom na Smrekovcu 1:00, Dom na Smrekovcu - Smrekovec 0:30.

We hiked the path yesterday. No one had trampled the snow ahead of us, so it was quite strenuous. The hut on Smrekovec was open, weather wonderful, views the same. We had a great time. For the path from Andrejev dom to the top of Smrekovec and back we took 7 hours.

Yesterday my colleague and I hiked the mentioned path and I must say we had a really good time. On the path, except for a few mushroom pickers, we met no one, but we found some boletus and ate blueberries, blackberries and raspberries. I didn't think I'd be eating blueberries in September.
I would like to warn about one part of the path. From Kramarica onwards, if you choose the path via Bukov stan, the upper part after the steep slope is widened or newly made forest road. No trace of the old footpath, and markings end there too. The forest road even branches after 300m and nowhere is it clear where to go. You have to choose the upper (right) path and after a few meters of ascent you reach the mentioned scenic clearing. From there on the path and markings are visible again. I must say it took us quite some time studying the map and searching for signs before we decided to go blindly along the forest path.
I warmly recommend the trip, especially the ascent to Smrekovec summit, as the view is wonderful. And we were rewarded with cranberries too

A bit late, but better late than never. The path we walked last Sunday is full of various impressions. Now there's even more snow. We ascended to the top via the hunting path. Crowded at the hut, on our path we didn't meet a hiker in either direction. Solitary and beautiful. Friendly hut keeper at the hut on Slemen. Good strudel and the right warmth in the hut invite us back.

Wonderful hike from Andrejev dom to Smrekovec and back. Mostly walking through the forest, peace and quiet. I missed the apple strudel, but devoured the blueberry one. Praise to the cooks and caretakers.

Nice path, not panoramic, but excellent for hot summer as it runs almost entirely through forest. Thanks to the markers for the carefully marked trail
