Access to starting point:
We drive to Mojstrana, then follow the signs for Vrata Valley. We continue along the toll road, which is closed to public traffic during winter, following it to the large parking lot located a few minutes before Aljažev dom in Vratih.
Route description:
From the parking lot, continue along the gravel road closed to public traffic, passing Šlajmerjev dom to quickly reach Aljažev dom in Vratih.
Bypass Aljažev dom on the right and continue straight towards Triglav, Sovatna, Luknja... (right Škrlatica, bivouac on Rušje...). Continue on the poorer gravel road, which takes us past the winter room to a marked junction at the famous peg (monument to fallen partisan climbers).
Continue straight again (left Tominšek's path), a gentle path leads with beautiful views of Triglav and the Triglav north face. After a few minutes of further walking, we reach a beech forest, where the path via Sovatna branches right; we continue straight towards Luknja and Triglav - path over Prag. A short ascent on the cart track follows, then markers direct us left to a path approaching the bed of Triglavska Bistrica. Here the path passes a memorial to mountain victims, soon reaching the next marked junction.
Left across the stream, the path over Prag continues; we go straight on a path that gradually climbs more noticeably. The path to Luknja ascends moderately for a while, higher becoming steeper and more scenic. Higher up, the path leads through a belt of shrubs and sparse forest, where a small path branches right to the nearby bivouac, about ten minutes of easy walking away.
Starting point - Aljažev dom 0:05, Aljažev dom - source of Bistrica 0:55, source of Bistrica - Bivouac 0:50.

Hello. I'm interested in overnight stay in this bivouac? Is it locked? Do you need to arrange with someone? Special conditions? Number of beds? Payment, reservation,.......? Of course, we plan to walk from Trenta to Mojstrana and were thinking about overnighting. Thanks for all useful info.

Is there any water at the bivouac or nearby?
How nicely it is arranged now. A few years ago I still shared the attic with numerous mice.
