Access to starting point:
From Kranjska Gora, we drive towards the Vršič mountain pass. Immediately after the 2nd hairpin turn of the Vršič road or Ruska road, we will notice a large parking lot on the left side, where we park.
Route description:
From the parking lot, situated approximately 100 meters beyond the second hairpin turn, we first carefully cross the road, then sharply turn right onto a narrower forest road. The road leads through the forest for quite some time. When the road crosses the stream, a fork appears after approximately 100 meters. We choose the left road. After a good 15 minutes of ascent from the starting point, the road ends at a small clearing (turning point).
From here the road splits into two cart tracks, and we choose the right one, next to the tree with markings. Higher up, the cart track transitions into a forest path, which initially runs between ferns and then enters a dense forest. There we use pink dashed markings on the trees to help find the path. Soon, the path steepens, where we climb in zigzags to a saddle, from which a view opens up over the valley of Mala Pišnica. From here, we continue right along the Škrbinjek ridge upwards to the summit, where we reach a scenic viewpoint and a box with a logbook (described on 23 August 2023). The view extends to the mountains, which rise majestically above the Krnica valley.

The last 80 to 90 elevation meters right below the saddle are quite demanding. Steep terrain. Hard to follow the trail, also due to fallen trees. In wet conditions, there's a very very high risk of slipping. Even in dry conditions, one must know how to move. So... it's not exactly an easy path.
