I haven't come across this trail on this portal or on the mountaineering association's page. So I decided to present it. You'll do the circular trail in three hours of moderate hiking. I've been putting off this trail for a while, today on Christmas I finally made it. By car to the starting point in Javorje to the "Žurej" farm, where there's arranged parking and the first directional and info signs. Exemplary, well-kept and praiseworthy. Along the cart track across the meadow, where we cross Voglajna by the forest. Stick to the markers and signs. Soon we hit an interesting well with drinking water. The path gently climbs to the "Kurčev breg" sign, with a short steep bit, and we're on the ridge. Looking back from the ridge, we see the "Kurčeva dolina" sign where we came from. Why!?!?!? Continue on the forested ridge path, cross the forest road and we're at a junction. Both paths go to the top, one very demanding, the other a stroll but longer. We take the very demanding path, well-trodden, maintained, with cables on tough spots. Just below the summit some pegs and cables. Most of the path along and above the quarry. At the top a new wooden tower from which you see really far (Kamnik Alps, Peca, Pohorje, Boč, Donačka gora, Bohor, Lisca, Veliko Kozje, Kum,...). By the tower a small log hut where you can get a souvenir and drink. I returned via the longer panoramic path. Really scenic and easy, but nearly an hour longer. On the way back to "Kurčeva dolina" I found why it's named that. By the path a beech with its pride. From here to start just 10 min walk. Despite Christmas no sign of winter. The flowers suggest more spring.
