Žmavčarji-Bivouac under Skuta-Skuta-Dolgi Hrbet-Grintovec

Along the hunting path over Žmavčarji to the bivouac under Skuta. On Melišče under the bivouac we put on crampons and go up the right side directly to the bivouac and then on to Skuta, where the day before already pulled the track. Snow is excellent. From Skuta we traverse the Dolgi Hrbet ridge and descend to Mlinarsko sedlo and continue along the ridge towards Grintovec. From Grintovec descent to Kokrško sedlo and to the starting point at the end. We take off crampons in the middle of the path at the bench.
Traversing Dolgi Hrbet is really something special but not for everyone.

Skuta-D.H.-Grintovec (26.12.22)
Snow at Žmavčarji starts at forest exit and is about 200m powdery, from there "concrete". Looked like no one had climbed Skuta yet, base is great. In such base I like to visit Dolgi Hrbet. Over Mlinarsko sedlo to the King really heavens if you know the path well. Descent from top over SE ridge through Dolge stene. Great, nice weather

Nicely described feat.... congratulations to both! Even the summer tour is not for the dizzy, but plenty of iron contributes to the passability of D.H. For me Picture 20 most vividly reveals how it is in winter!

Bravo, super ascent.

Otherwise it puzzles me a bit, because you wrote above 1700m concrete, but from pics (6, 8, 12, 16, ..) you see it's anything but that - I'd say on S parts it was quite wet/southern, in shaded parts above 2200-2300m unprocessed?

Concrete to the bivouac! No wet, southern snow anywhere. North sides we didn't have anywhere, except under Grintovec where it was hard. From Jezerska side, where it's north and all shade the snow is really powdery on top, below processed.
