Starting point: guesthouse at Zatrnik. Ascent along former ski slope. Gradient not too steep. At the top: benches and logbook. Wonderful views towards Bled, Karavanke, K.S. Alps and of course our highest, Triglav. nasmeh

Pleasant, quickly accessible viewpoint above Zatrnik. Just the right amount of snow for small and big furry balls. Children's ski slope below operating. Tobogganing from the top possible, depending on snow amount. nasmeh

Zatrnik - Hotunjski vrh...Snow around 40-50 cm, frozen. Part of ski slope set up for tobogganing. I had crampons, could have gone with snowshoes too. It was very cold yesterday, nice views from the top. nasmeh

7.12... Hotunjski vrh... No snow, just grass covered with frost. Great walking on it, like on a soft carpet. Light not the best for views.

Hotunjski vrh is one of the end stations of the former ski resort. Has anyone managed to reach the top or the end of the only chairlift, Berjance? I myself two years ago tried to go along the former right, gentler slope past the farm, but further on the former ski slope the owner with threats to set the dog on me etc. prevented me from continuing the path.

Maybe this helps you somewhat. From Bled a marked path leads almost to the top of the former ski area.

Thanks Tadej. Otherwise I wanted, due to nostalgia for the times when we skied here, to climb to the top along the former flatter or steeper ski slope, but your suggestion is more than welcome.

Hotunjski vrh - yesterday... Snow enough on the shady side. - Still inviting for skiing and sledding. My approach to the top via the left and descent via the right side. More interesting to me. Desert sand in the air, visible on the pics. For kids' bustle also enough snow in the lower part. Nice trip to the top of Hotunc, Julian Alps visible in the morning. nasmeh

Hotunc home-style... has everything the big ones have except height. Winter still reigns over Zatrnik. Also suitable for sledding.
At the top new info boards with peak names on both sides. In the good company of sunshine and Ben's fluffy bunny, and beautiful views, it was wonderful. nasmeh
