Litija is a small town located on both banks of the Sava, at the start of Zasavje and almost in the geometric center of Slovenia. The town has no particular sights, but plenty of shopping centers and large free parking lots, so no parking issues. The town is surrounded by hills of the eastern Posavje upland, so wherever you turn off the main road or the Sava river, you're already climbing. But Litija has an exceptionally good location, … practically on any hill above the valley you can do a loop and return to the start.
I recommend the ascent to Zasavska Sv. Gora and GEOSS above Vače, where lovers of climbs and descents will find some of the steeper slopes of our urban roads, e.g. Golče below Zas.Gora and Zg. Slivno above Geoss. The described cycling route is all asphalt, and you can refresh yourselves at both high points on Zas.Gora and Geoss. Zas.gora, GEOSS and Vače are also historically interesting places for extra sightseeing.

Variant: if descending from Zasavska gora to Vače along the ridge hiking trail and through Vovše settlement (forest road) you need a mountain bike with good tires, but at least the initial descent section behind the church on Zasavska gora must be done very carefully due to the demanding terrain.

The described tour includes two pretty tough climbs to Zas.Gora (930 m) and Slivno (867 m), is relatively long and demanding, with about 1200 m elevation gain and just under 50 km.
