Today first time from Krma to the top of Brdo. Path well trodden but very steep, except initial few minutes and last part. Great help "rocky" holds and bushes. Few minutes from start left in gully there's a stream in the forest, but no path leads to it. Peaks above Krma valley amazingly beautiful, slopes very steep. Triglav and Rjavina covered by clouds all the time. Lipanska vrata mighty. Didn't meet anyone on the path, otherwise parking in Krma full. Windy at the top, also got some sunshine. Interesting path

KarmenT, nice tour, bravo... But I'm interested in picture 11, Lipanska vrata.. There are quite some variants where these gates are..

zlatica and Majdag - thanks. Time and again we are enthusiastic about the beauties in our mountains and every path is something special. Probably the part of the path just before arriving to Pokljuka side is called Lipanska vrata, in narrower sense those rocks on the photo would fit the name. They impressed us. If I knew they are so close to Pokljuka, I would have seen them earlier, as we were above Lipanca many times. Otherwise I'm not familiar with these places, whatever I find on map and this website. I recommend myself for some suggestion regarding the gates.

I'm wondering if it's possible circular by bike on Pokljuka from barracks towards uskovnci and past zajamniki (not clear to me there) then Goreljek and back to barracks.

KarmenT, I think maps are authoritative and Lipanska vrata are at the end of the passage of the difficult path from Krma to Pokljuka, that's a bit below Lipanski vrh.

Of course it's possible, I already walked it on foot. This year only part, from Goreljek-Zajamniki-Oskovnica. A bit before planina Oskovnica there's a junction where road goes towards Rudno polje. That part from barracks to Goreljek you surely know.

A bit late, but anyway. Otiv, thanks for the opinion. I've experienced many times that names in mountains have gotten inspiration from natural features. Maybe it's the same with these two rocky points Certainly Lipanska vrata are a geographical term, as they are marked on the map. I agree. Regards
