Yinshan

Yinshan (700 m and a bit a.s.l.) means Silver Mountain in Chinese and is located north of Beijing. I visited the mountain during a 14-day stay in China together with my brother who temporarily lives there.

Access: Take the Beijing subway to the last station Nanshao on the Changping line (pink color). There transfer to bus no. 31 and ride for another hour. Subway is 2 RMB, bus 4 RMB. Get off at the village which is the starting point for Yinshan (tell the driver 'Yinshan' so he reminds us).

From the stop walk along the road another half kilometer until park entrance. There pay entrance fee (currently 25 RMB). From entrance not far to famous pagoda forest (18 altogether).

From there I encountered Chinese specialty namely that they install stairs on practically every tourist-visited mountain! Had to come to terms with it. Initially path quite shady. From small saddle reached after 45 min. a bit more exposed to sun. From saddle to panoramic summit another 15-20 min. Total good hour walk.

From summit nice view of surrounding villages, pagoda forest and nearby hills, even a piece of famous Chinese Wall (if not visible from moon as once speculated zavijanje z očmi ).

We went down another path as we missed original but all end at park entrance (didn't avoid stairs velik nasmeh )

Since path goes over saddle with wish bell and due to similar height could baptize mountain as Beijing's Šmarna gora. Only no inn on top (luckily) or little church/temple. Just panoramic platform.

Otherwise let pictures speak for themselves.
