Writing fines at trailheads

This happens constantly in Bohinj already. My opinion (and I think it has some legal basis) is that if the prohibition is not marked in accordance with CPP, you have pretty good chances that it will fall at court. Of course, the other question is whether it's worth getting into a long legal battle for 100 euros.

As far as I know, the warden cannot write such fines for parking. The upper limit is 80€. Municipal decrees have already fallen at court because the fines contradicted CPP.
Of course, what jax wrote applies... if you want to go to courts...

I'd say yes. Just like we must inquire about the legal order of the foreign country where we go. Ignorance does not protect from a fine. But the legality of a certain municipal decree can be questioned. That's another question.
From the Decree on the Traffic Regime of the Bohinj Municipality this:
II. ARRANGEMENT OF TRAFFIC AND PARKING
Article 3
(prohibitions and restrictions)(1) In the area of the Bohinj municipality it is prohibited:
- to drive motor-powered vehicles on uncategorized roads and paths (village, field and forest paths, spaces around parking lots, etc.),
- to drive vehicles outside categorized and uncategorized roads and public paths,
- to park outside parking lots and other designated places, especially not on public green surfaces (lawns and parks), agricultural lands, forest areas and accessible forest and field paths.(2) The prohibitions from the previous paragraph of this article do not apply to owners of real estate if it concerns driving or parking for the needs of performing agricultural and forestry activities.(3) An individual shall be fined 200 euros for an offense if acting contrary to the first paragraph of this article.
Article 4
(area of permitted parking and public parking surfaces)
(1) In the area of the Bohinj municipality, parking is permitted only on arranged parking surfaces that are marked with the prescribed traffic signage, which anyone can use under the conditions set by law and this decree.

Everything you wrote is true.
I don't feel like dragging through courts, because in the end I'll definitely be in the red more than 100€, which is half.
It hurts more that the warden doesn't issue a warning. The height of the fine is also not humane at all. And why are there no informative signs about what's allowed and what not? And how is a citizen supposed to know the decrees of all Slovenian municipalities (there are over 200)?
Bohinj folks are really such a "special specimen".

Maybe I'd have noticed it, but there were two tourist buses stopped roughly from that intersection to the golf.
I'll pay the fine to make the municipal warden happy.
