3 January 2019. First ascent of this year: we arrived in Podbrdo by train. From there we continued on the mulatjera to the hunting hut at Bača Peak 1273 m. The path leads first through the village past a small church of St. Lenart, higher past rare houses. Some are empty. Wind blew all along the path, as forecasted. From Bača Peak we continued to Kobla 1498 m. On the ridge the wind blew in gusts and we had to move a bit from the edge. Otherwise nice views. We descended to the other side to Bohinjska Bistrica, where we waited for the train that took us home. Nice January tour, just a pity so little snow on the path.
The train takes us into the distances. Like in the old days.1

Hello Darinka!
You will have to correct your post a bit.
Correctly it is Vrh Bače and not vrh Bača as you wrote. Both words are written with a capital letter -
Vrh Bače.

Julius, thanks for the warning. But it seems I can't edit anymore. First time I was on these peaks and it is really very nice. Mysterious places, little visited and with views. Such that attract you and you return, like to Krn.

Interesting fact picture 20. It looks like an abandoned pasture. It looks like a reservoir lake that collects surface water from surrounding hills and drains it to the valley via a canal. This prevents flooding of the Bohinj railway tunnel. Next to the canal there is a path to the valley where we descended. In places the canal is quite deepened. This system worked then. I can't imagine how they made all this manually.

There was a lake there, I think I heard when I first hiked there, because the railway tunnel was flooding, they drained it. Best. J
