Mihelič already wrote about the upper path from Vogel to Komna that it ranks among the most attractive mountain hikes, and since you really enjoy beautiful views of a series of peaks with little effort, Sunday's trip convinced me that Mihelič was not wrong.

Looks cool. Was there by chance any viper? I went last year around similar time from Bohinj to Rodica, then along the ridge past Vogel to Komna and a viper, don't know vipers, was sunning directly on the path somewhere before Bohinjski Migovec.

No snakes, but one I'm kind of waiting for myself, but only to photograph it (if it allows of course)
Directly on the path one was sunning years ago exactly at Oslova škrbina - where of course lots of peace.
Also around Konjsko sedlo no special crowds.

Years ago we went and we too met quite some snakes.... seems to me the path isn't particularly crowded and reptiles can almost undisturbed bask in the sun rays wink

That's true, the path isn't crowded. Up to Vogel it was really quite crowded. Surprisingly lots of tourists, especially English ones. Then from the junction for Planina Razor all the way to Komna there wasn't a living soul anywhere.

Mukica, thanks for the congrats. On this path it's really interesting to follow the peaks as you walk past them and observe their views from all sides. Bohinjski Migovec is really unrecognizable. Mohor looks completely different, Podrta gora can be a tough nut from Vogel view up to the view of it from Komna, Vrh nad Škrbino the same.
This is the path I walked in an approximate variant at my 20s and it enchanted me already then and the thought of it hasn't left me. People you actually don't meet from the junction for Globoko to Komna, we met only two ločankas! nasmeh

The longest and most beautiful Bohinj ridge on the section from Bogatin to Podrta gora is now so full of gentians that you rarely see something like that on marked paths nasmeh

The path is as always beautiful and well-trodden, only the optional detour to Podrta gora should be done by those used to walking on scree terrain. The mountain didn't get its name for nothing velik nasmeh

. The cairns are mostly only around its summit anymore, the others have been eaten by the tooth of time. There is also a stamp at the top.

Such dense and large gentians are not seen everywhere.

From the dark clouds a few raindrops fell as a sample. And that was all that day.

We also wanted to go to Planina Razor, but the entire path took a bit longer than planned

The peak above Škrbina surprised us with a nice wooden bench. An easy secured path leads to it.

We decided to continue along the Bohinj side of the ridge.

In the morning, the sun warmed us in the icy wind, in the afternoon heat the clouds helped us.

Ahead of us is the last section of the path.

I have never seen such a signpost anywhere.

End of our path. Our legs were grateful for the descent by cable car :)

Yesterday, we and PD hikers took the cable car from morning fog to a beautiful sunny day on Vogel.
The path took us first to Šija. We continued along the ridge towards Vogel summit. In the shady part of the ridge it's quite slippery. From Vogel we continued to Globoko saddle and under the peaks further to Konjski preval. This part of the path is really nice and offers great views far around. Under Bohinjski Migovec we returned on the lower path via Planina Zadnji Vogel and on to the cable car.
Nice tour and it would make sense to continue to Komna, maybe next time.
