Using GPS tracks from the collection

I'm a new user of the Garmin Etrex 35 GPS device and I'd like to use all or as many options as it offers. As a beginner, though, I ran into a problem on how to download GPS tracks to my device. In the track collection, they are all recorded in .plt format. Do I have to convert them to .gpx and only then copy to Garmin? And next question: which Garmin folder do they belong in?
Thanks to the experts for the explanation.

Currently GPS tracks are only in .plt format. We plan to update the section and add some other format.
Here you can find a conversion program: http://www.gpsbabel.org/download.html

@bosin:

They go into the Gpx folder.

If you know English this will be useful (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S9XMSYHF0WE)
if not just watch the video.

Test the functions first on some home (familiar) terrain and then if you have good tracks you can use in mountains. Maybe as advice: be careful with the choice of batteries (it is desirable that they are charged before use and that you have spares with you) if buying batteries buy ones that last in low temperatures too.

Thanks, @smetar and @rok. For starters that'll do, I'll learn more along the way

You also have online programs for conversion. Just type in Google: convert plt to gpx
Play with the device at home to master it as much as possible (menus, settings....)
One more thing. Never fully trust the GPS device and stick to what Smetar recommended to you.
