A friend from Italy, historical writer of 1st WW events near Kanal Valley, asks for news of the event: crash of Italian plane in 1st WW summer 1917 in place Srednica 1.900m under Pelcs in last Trenta. I know it won't be easy, wouldn't know where or whom to turn to for this, thanks in advance.

Alessio hello,
I spoke with a relative in Trenta (Zadnjica) and his wife says she knows nothing about it. About events during the second war and after it there are still many memories, the first one is too far back. But I got advice that your friend should turn to the museum in Kobarid, which is a "treasure trove" of everything that happened during the 1st World War in the area of Slovenia, especially Posočje. Maybe also to the Bovec municipality, they probably have some "archive".
