Today, in great company, we set off on a circular route from Trate towards Celovska hut. Just before the hut, the path branches off to the right across scree to the start of the protected path to Stol. The path is extremely beautiful and scenic towards Celovska hut and surrounding peaks. The protections and the path itself are BP. The wind bothered us at times, otherwise pleasant temperature for hiking. At the top of Stol we didn't stay long due to the wind, quickly to the hut at Mali Stol. Lots of visitors today on Stol. For descent towards Orlica and also to Celovska Spica with Tinky, then descent to Belščica saddle towards Celovska hut and back to start, the weather favored us, ...

Yeah, once it was necessary to go to Stol via the climbing path too. Just so, because it's there nasmeh

. But since Tinky and his crew linked it on descent with ascent to Celovška Špica, the decision was quick.
This Celovška Špica waited years on my list, quietly for the right moment, which came on Saturday nasmeh

It's nice via climbing to Stol, but the cherry on the cake came with Celovška Špica nasmeh

We didn't even know which one it actually was in that beautiful Orlice ridge, Celovske Škrbine we didn't know before either. I said, the one with the path leading to it is the right one. And indeed we found a slightly trodden path under the walls of Z. Jelenčka (now I know which one nasmeh

), which leads you to the notch and delights with a view towards Celovska hut.

With slight excitement we climbed up the slope, not knowing if we would be allowed to reach the summit or not. The descriptions speak of a quite risky crossing to the north side right under the mountain summit, through a hole of unknown width.
Jože took the decisive step first, I followed and rejoiced at the thought that we weren't too fat nasmeh

, one point in plus.
Then you look around the pile of rocks, on which you spot two crosses. Not being able to reach even one simply wasn't an option. Well, we went to both, thoughtfully of course, but it worked nasmeh

. And we didn't pull on the cable at all, since we had done that already towards Stol.
But we didn't stay long at the summit, as you can't avoid the feeling that everything can shift if you tread too much on these rocks, so after the obligatory photos we soon slid back into the safer world nasmeh

I played a bit more with the view through gentians to Srednja peč, towards which I had looked several times anyway. We almost wished for its closeness too, but after consideration we decided on a cold beer at Celovska hut, where we also boasted about our ascent. The waitress was enthusiastic, but we certainly even more so nasmeh

After a beautifully spent day, then return to the car in Medvedji dol.
